An activity describes a specific process step in your supply chain or your partner's supply chain, such as processing, blanching, caramelizing, or similar actions. Activities are a central part of supply chains and must be clearly defined and documented.
Creating an activity
Activities can be created and managed directly in the Activities area. Alternatively, you have the option of creating activities in Supply Chain Mapping and Component Chain Mapping.
Steps to create an activity:
- Navigate to the Activities section in your account.
Click on Create new activity.
Enter the relevant information about the activity, such as the activity type (e.g., manufacturing, processing, transportation), the responsible site, and other relevant details. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
Save the activity.
Media and descriptions added here will also be used in communication and can be adjusted on the product pages. This is indicated by the yellow symbol.

Managing activities
In the Activities section, you can also manage or view the activities of your partners within your supply chain. This provides a comprehensive overview of all process steps and allows you to seamlessly integrate your partner's activities into the relevant supply chain.
Steps:
Navigate to the Activities section and click on External.
Select a partner activity to view or edit it.
Make adjustments as needed, such as adding additional information or sites (locations) to an activity.
A particularly useful feature in the Activities section is the ability to search for activities based on specific criteria. This is useful when, for example, several similar activities (like "manufacturing") occur in different supply chains and need to be quickly edited.

For instance, if you produce your food products all at the same Site and therefore want to ensure that all activities of the type "manufacturing" in your supply chain receive the same image, you can specifically search for this activity and make the adjustment quickly one after the other.
Conclusion
The Activities section offers an efficient way to manage activities in the supply chains, whether for your own company or for partners in the supply chains. Use the search function to find and edit activities faster, and integrate activities seamlessly into the Supply Chain Mapping and Component Chain Mapping.
