Partners are any party that you work with along your supply chain. In the Seedtrace platform, a partner can either be a supplier or a farm (with more types coming soon).
In the partner library homepage (displayed above), you can:
- Invite partners to join the platform with a partner account to enable them to add data that you request (more on this here)
- Manually add partners to input all the data for your partner yourself
- Manage your existing partners
Selecting one of the partners in the list from the homepage takes you to the overview page for this partner (above). You will also see that the Partner tab on the left has expanded to give you more subsections to explore specifically for the partner that you have selected.
The 'Partner activities' subsection is similar to your own activity library (accessed by the 'Activities' tab on the left), but specifically displaying the activities for the partner you have selected. Here, you can make any necessary changes and the information will be updated in every place these activities are used.
The following two subsections are relevant if you have invited your partner to the platform and they have registered as a partner.
- 'Partner documents' displays all requested documents that your partner has uploaded
- 'Partner requests' is a space for you to manage data requests to your partner within the platform, for example documents or component chain mappings. See here to learn more about this.
