On iPhone, the camera application supports QR code recognition which means you hold your device so that the QR code appears in the viewfinder in the Camera app. Your device recognizes the QR code and shows a notification. You then simply tap the notification to open the link associated with the QR code.
Android phones come with the Google Assistant offering QR code support out of the box. Furthermore, there are many QR code scanner apps in the Android Play Store. Go ahead and try it yourself after you have published your first product!
