How to add a new impact claim?

To add a new impact claim, simply click on the "Add new claim" button in the impact claim library. This will open a dialog that will guide you through the process.

The first step is to select the desired impact claim. A distinction is made here between social and environmental claims. If you click on the desired impact claim, you will be shown what is required to verify that the claim applies. This usually involves one or more documents, which can be uploaded in a further step.

In the second step, the impact level is selected. For example, a claim can cover all operations along the entire supply chain, which means that the business level is to be selected. If a claim only covers parts of a supply chain, such as individual partners, products, or components of a product, you can select from the corresponding impact levels.

In the third step, you can upload the documents that prove the impact claim. On the left-hand side of the dialog, you can see what the acceptance criteria are and which documents are required. If you do not have these documents yourself, you can also send a direct request to your partners from here. The last step summarizes the previous steps again. Here you can send the impact claim for approval or save it as a draft. Once the impact claim has been created and submitted for approval, it will be reviewed by Seedtrace as soon as possible.
